Melissa partnered with our Niagara College health, counselling and accessibility team to undertake a comprehensive self-study. The purpose of the study was to allow the team to tell the story of their strengths and growth areas, in relation to various and intersecting professional standards.
Melissa designed and facilitated a structured approach that encouraged meaningful engagement among team members, that allowed for honest and pragmatic reflection on areas of strengths and opportunities for improvement. The self-study addressed policies, procedures, human resources, and space needs.
With a firm grounding in the work of student affairs and services, Melissa engaged with professionalism, clarity, and trust that allowed for project completion in a tight timeline. The outcome provided a roadmap of work ahead to help increase the quality of service and program delivery to support student and organizational success.
Melissa Gallo, Consultant, conducted a review of the co-operative education program at Centennial College. Melissa's breadth of experience in the field, understanding of the post-secondary system, and knowledge of quality assurance processes were invaluable in helping us scope and conduct a comprehensive assessment of our program. Through a process that included an environmental scan, survey design, interviews with key informants, and data analysis, Melissa was able to provide us with a comprehensive report complete with a set of actionable, practical and timely recommendations. Working with Melissa was a pleasure. I appreciated her critical insights, thought-provoking questions, and flexibility. Without reservation, I would work with Melissa Gallo again and highly recommend her. I would also be happy to provide additional information, if helpful, about her engagement with Centennial College.
We engaged Melissa to complete a literature review on modular curriculum design in Canadian higher education. The report highlighted successful examples, implementation strategies, and key lessons learned. It provided a strong foundation for ongoing conversations at Humber about modular learning and curriculum planning.
